Plot

Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno and Rock Lee are assigned to protect prince Hikaru Tsuki and his father Michiru, the heir to the incredibly prosperous Land of the Moon, on their trip back to their kingdom.

Embarking on the Mission

Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno, and Rock Lee embark on a mission to safeguard Prince Hikaru Tsuki and his father, Michiru, the heir to the Land of the Moon’s vast riches, on their voyage back to their kingdom.

Discoveries and Challenges

Hikaru’s bratty behavior vexes Naruto throughout the trip, while the team soon learns of Michiru’s immense wealth when he casually purchases an entire circus for Hikaru’s amusement, including its star attractions: a saber-toothed cat named Chamū and its monkey companion, Kiki.

Despite Hikaru’s efforts to befriend Chamū, his attempts end disastrously with the cat attacking him, prompting Naruto to intervene. As Michiru’s caravan nears the port for their return voyage, Michiru and Hikaru visit Michiru’s ex-wife, Amayo.

Though Amayo welcomes Hikaru, she rebuffs Michiru’s attempts to reconcile, citing his materialistic outlook and failure to grasp “what truly matters.”

Struggles and Redemption

During the stormy ship journey, the crew must secure the circus animals brought aboard. Hikaru, resentful of Chamū’s aggression, initially shows indifference towards the animals’ safety, prompting Naruto’s disapproval.

In a bid to prove Naruto wrong, Hikaru assists in securing the animals, forming a bond with Chamū and Kiki in the process. Hikaru and Naruto reconcile and become friends.

Confronting Betrayal

Upon reaching the Land of the Moon, they discover the kingdom in turmoil, usurped by the greedy minister Shabadaba. With Naruto’s aid and loyal guards led by Korega, they escape to a mountain refuge.

Korega reveals Shabadaba’s coup plans and Kakeru’s intentions to protect Michiru by sending him on the kingdom tour. However, mercenaries, led by Ishidate, thwart their escape and mortally wound Kakeru.

The Final Stand

Despite Sakura’s efforts, Kakeru succumbs, declaring Michiru the new king. A failed escape leaves Michiru captured, and Naruto taps into the Nine-Tails’ power to save Hikaru from harm.

Shabadaba’s betrayal is exposed, driving Hikaru to embrace his father’s values. They rally to rescue Michiru, who faces execution by Shabadaba’s scheme.

Victory and Reflection

Utilizing a circus distraction, the team storms the palace, engaging Ishidate and Shabadaba in battle. Hikaru saves Michiru from the noose, and Naruto defeats the villains with the Land of the Moon’s moonlight-powered Rasengan.

Grateful for Naruto’s guidance, Michiru resolves to prioritize “what truly matters” and seeks reconciliation with Amayo. As the team recuperates, they enjoy a well-deserved vacation before their return home, leaving behind newfound wisdom and bonds.
